Sailstice
The days are getting longer, the water’s warming up and the harbor’s filled; summer is definitely here! We’re going sailing as much as we can with the longer days, and you probably are, too. Plus if you’re racing around the buoys or just enjoying a sunset cruise on the weekend of June 23, you can be a part of something bigger by joining the **Summer Sailstice**, held annually on the weekend closest to the summer solstice. By participating in the global sailing celebration, you’ll have a shot to win over 400 prizes, including subscriptions to Sailing World magazine, a BVI charter, a Hobie catamaran, GoPro cameras, and more.
Sign up for the Sailstice online–there are no rules or fees. Plus, you can find sailing events near you on June 23 and add your own event to bring visibility to your club or class. The Clipper fleet has already signed up all of their boats, which will be sailing across the North Atlantic during the solstice.
Last year, more than 17,000 sailors joined in from over 40 countries. If you’re on the water on June 23 (and you should be!), be part of the Sailstice!
