Gunboats joined the action at two recent regattas in the Caribbean: the RORC Caribbean 600 and the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta. Richard Langdon of Ocean Images shares shots from both.

_”In the lead up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the Finn class in Brazil is undergoing something of a resurgence. It’s recent National Championship, held in Sao Paulo, attracted 25 boats, and many of them were new boats built in Brazil. The 2012 Olympian Jorge Zarf dominated the series with six race wins from seven races. Second was the double Olympic Star medalist Bruno Prada on his return to the Finn class. Andre Mirsky was third. The biggest class at the 2013 Sperry Top-Sider St. Petersburg NOOD Regatta is also the newest. Twenty J/70s are among the 100 boats gathering to kick off the 2013 NOOD Regatta series.
