Emirates Team NZ took the fourth fleet race, breaking Oracle Team USA Spithill’s run on the third day of racing in Newport.
Oracle Team USA Spithill claimed another bullet in the second fleet race of the America’s Cup World Series in Newport, and will battle Coutts in the match racing finals.
Perfect conditions and close racing made the first day of racing at the AC World Series in Newport a spectacle.
Emirates Team NZ bit the dust on the first day of racing at the AC World Series in Newport. A water-logged wing extension created havoc as the team tried to right the boat.

Yesterday was the Offical Training Day 1 for the America’s Cup World Series in Newport. After an opening press conference, the sailors headed out for some windy practice races. The tension was tangible between ORACLE Team Spithill and Emirates Team New Zealand, for they will be vying for the overall title–Team Spithill currently has a narrow 4 point lead, but that could quickly disappear.
