London-based photographer Ingrid Abery shares the story behind her aerial shot of Moonbeam IV at PalmaVela this month.
This year’s Finn World Masters, held in La Rochelle, boasted the highest entry yet with 285 Finn Masters. A week long event beginning Monday, May 20th, and going through Friday, May 25th, had tough conditions and competitive racing. Congratulations to Michael Maier for taking the championship.
Ingrid Abery shares photos from Gaastra PalmaVela 2013. The 16 boats in the Maxi, Mini Maxi, and Wally classes, raced near Cap Enderrocat, on the side of the Bay of Palma. With the rest of the classes, the event totaled 140 boats from 17 different countries. Click here to read about Abery’s Photo of the Month from PalmaVela.
The 2013 Delta Lloyd Regatta boasted lots of wind, exciting racing, and increased exposure for the sailors in an attempt to bring the regatta to the fan base at home. The event came right down to the wire, securing drama and thrill in their medal race finale. Photos by Sander Van Der Borch
It’s the Sailing World edit staff’s hometown fleet, and once a season we’ve got race-committee assistance duty. Once the pin and finish mark were set, what else to do than sit back and watch. And snap a few pics of a solid three-race spring series night on Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay.
