31 lasers competed at Surf City Yacht Club at the June 2nd Jack Elfman Orange Coffee Pot Regatta this year. The full-rig winner was Clay Johnson, with only 6 points in 7 races after his drop, and the radial winner was Kelly McGlynn, also with just 6 points. Video credit goes to Jon Deutsch, who taped much of the regatta from the bow of his boat, and arranged some of the highlights in this compilation. With the breeze hanging between 10-17 knots, it was a glorious day of sailing.

After a thunderstorm rolled in during the first day of fleet racing, tactician Michele Ivaldi aboard the Slovenian Team CEEREF said, ****”It was a very tricky day, on the edge of being unpredictable especially in the last race when the wind basically shut down and filled in from the other side.
