Sponsored by Power & Motoryacht Magazine, the University is a full day seminar series designed to improve your seamanship. It will be held Saturday, September 13th, at the Hyatt Regency on Goat Island in Newport. Priced at $150 per person, the seminar includes a continental breakfast, working lunch, cocktail reception / graduation ceremony and admission for one person to the Boat Show. Space is limited. NEWPORT FOR NEW PRODUCTS INTRODUCES THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD – VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE DEBUT!
The Annual Newport For New Products Award program, now in its 9th season, recognizes the best new boat and boating product introductions for the 2015 model year, selected by industry experts and new this year- through a People’s Choice Award.
Attendees who come to the show on Thursday will receive a voting card with a detailed list of the NFNP entries and their location on the show site. New debuts will also be marked with blue and white mats to help make them easy to find. After choosing your favorite, drop your voting card at the Show Office by 6pm on Thursday night. Votes will be tallied that night and the winner of the 2014 NFNP People’s Choice Award will be announced Friday morning at the Awards Ceremony at the Sunset Lounge near the Newport Yachting Center Marina. And to make it even more exciting, one lucky People’s Choice voter will win an iPad with a $50 credit to the online Apple Store.
4TH ANNUAL CRUISERS PARTY – ALL BOATERS INVITED!
On Saturday, Sept. 13th, join others with your same passion for boating, along with the exhibitors and industry folks, for a great evening of refreshments and fun at the Cruisers Party, hosted by Cruising Outpost – a quarterly magazine and online interactive destination website created by Bob & Jody Bitchin and Crew. The Cruisers Party is a favorite event at major boat shows around the country! To attend, you must be inside the show gates on Saturday by 6:00 PM – no additional ticket needed. Prize drawing to benefit the “Call of the Sea Foundation;” live music, pizza, beer and soft drinks are free while they last, so come, kick back, and enjoy!
COAST GUARD FOUNDATION SELECTED AS THE BOAT SHOW’S OFFICIAL CHARITABLE PARTNER
The Newport International Boat Show is proud to align with the Coast Guard Foundation as our 2014 charity of choice. This national non-profit organization supports the men and women of the U.S Coast Guard who risk their lives on the water every day for our safety. Founded more than 40 years ago, the Foundation provides services such as higher education grants and financial relief to its members and their families. As the Show’s charitable partner, the Coast Guard Foundation will receive a portion of Sunday’s ticket sales, complimentary exhibit space and the opportunity for its staff to educate and share information regarding their important mission. Krantz, Jr., author of Riding the Wild Ocean : The Circumnavigation of Cape Cod in a 18-Foot Sloop, and Other Adventures.
