On the Water with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team and Mustang Survival

Professional sailors don’t have time to think about staying dry while speeding through rough waters on a race course. What matters is the boat, moving as a unit, and taking the vessel across the finish line. Hopefully, first.

So when the  Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team approached Canadian Marine brand Mustang Survival, in search of the best protective offshore equipment the support team could wear to fully focus on their activities, they were all onboard to step up to the challenge.

On both sides there is a strong bond between heritage and innovation. Mustang Survival has been providing confidence to sailors for over 50 years and continues to push the boundaries on innovation in the maritime environment. The America’s Cup, now in its 36th edition, still sees the participation of the most technologically advanced boats in the world.

Working closely with the Prada team to get the color, logos and fit of the gear just right, what emerged from the collaboration is a custom foul weather protection set for every team member to wear while they work on the support boats during their push to win the 2021 America’s Cup
