BOTY Beneteau
Welcome to the 2011 Boat of the Year Competition.
Influenced by advanced technologies and evolution fo boat design, sailors look forward to the introduction of the latest new boats. In keeping with tradition, the editors of Cruising World and Sailling World magazines are calling for entries for their 2011 Boat of the Year Awards. If you’re launching a new sailboat model into the North American market, we invite you to join the industry’s most respected testing and awards porgram.
Sailing World‘s Team of Judges concentrate on boats designed and built with performance and racing in mind. Nominationg panels, made up of editors from Sailing World will scrutinize the boats during the Newport International Boat Show (R.I.) and in the days before the opening of the U.S. Sailboat Show in Annapolis, Maryland.
The panels will then announce final nominees at the outset of the U.S. Sailboat Show. At that time, nominated builders will receive nominee banners and appointments for dockside and under-sail judging during and after the show.
To enter your model, please review the entry rules, then complete the entry forms and return them by Friday, June 18. We will also use the information for New Boat Previews on our websites and for our October 2010 issues.
If you don’t plan to attend the Annapolis boat show or participate in the Boat of the Year testing, we’d still like to receive your materials so we can include your new model in our previews.
The editors of Sailing World will announce their winners, overall and in individual categoreis, online and in the January issues of each magazine, where they’ll be accompanied by detailed reviews. If you’re introducing one or more new models to the North American sailboat market this year, we look forward to receiving yoru entry.
